Dr. Richards was also a member of the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity. He went on to attend the University Of Oklahoma College Of Dentistry where he received an academic scholarship and maintained his position on the Dean’s Honor Roll. During dental school, Dr. Richards remained very active in his community by volunteering at a local nonprofit dental clinic. Dr. Richards was honored as one of eight senior dental students selected by the faculty to help interview potential incoming dental students. While at OU, he was a member of the American Student Dental Association and is a current member of the Dallas County Dental Society and the American Dental Association.

Dr. Richards was born in Tyler, Texas; then, shortly afterwards, he relocated with his family to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Dr. Richards’s family has always been a huge support system for him and he says that they helped to instill a superb work ethic in him at a very young age. Growing up, Dr. Richards was always interested in the health professions and he felt called to pursue a career in dentistry during high school when he was involved in an accident on the baseball field that resulted in urgent dental care. It was then that he realized the importance of dentistry and the need for caring, hardworking individuals who strive to treat each patient with the care, dignity, and respect that they deserve.

Dr. Richards married his college sweetheart in June of 2008 and they are very excited to begin their new life in Dallas. They have one son, Chase, born in March of 2013. Dr. Richards looks forward to meeting and forming a relationship with each and every person and he is eager to begin this new adventure. Dr. Richards says that he feels honored to have the opportunity to work with Dr. McDougal and to be a part of such an incredible practice.
